Luisa M. Vázquez-Cruz joined Indiano & Williams P.S.C. as an associate in October 2022. Ms. Vázquez-Cruz was born and raised in Coamo, Puerto Rico. In 2006 she obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico. She completed a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 2010 and a Master in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico in 2015.

While in law school, she studied a summer abroad at the University of Diego Portales in Chile and clerked for Hon. Yolanda Doitteau Ruiz in the Superior Court of San Juan. Also, during her law school years, Ms. Vázquez-Cruz worked as a paralegal with a Chapter 7 Trustee, assisting in the adversary proceedings.

While finishing her studies in business school, she worked at the Senate of Puerto Rico in the Finances Committee from 2013 to 2015. After that, she was recruited to work as a legal advisor in the Governor’s Office until December 2016. Eventually, she was appointed as a state prosecutor of the Department of Justice of Puerto Rico in January 2017, where she worked in the white-collar crimes division, investigating, filing, and litigating dozens of complex cases until she decided to transition into the private sector.

Ms. Vázquez-Cruz holds admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, in addition to being a notary public.
