Premises Liability – Gas Explosion (2022-present)

A young woman was working at a restaurant in the Condado area, and while taking a break, she started to light a lighter, and a gas explosion occurred that burned her arms and part of her face. It was later revealed that her employer knew about the gas leak and had reported it to the gas company responsible for the gas line maintenance. As a result of the incident, the woman was hospitalized for a month and had to undergo painful treatments daily to treat her burns. She hired our firm to represent her, and in 2023, we filed a federal complaint against multiple defendants in the District Court of Puerto Rico. The case is currently in the initial stages of discovery.
